1. 2002–2003

   The ringtone & SMS era

   The domain's first recorded life had nothing to do with fancy text: it hosted a ringtone and SMS text site, typical of the early-2000s mobile content wave.

2. 2006–2010

   Parked domain & first experiments

   After the ringtone site disappeared, the domain sat mostly idle. By 2010 it briefly hosted a "Fancy Animated Text Creator" — the first hint of its future identity.

3. 2017–2018

   Up for sale

4. 2019–2022

   The text generator is born

   In 2019 fancytext.net relaunched as a real fancy text and symbol generator — cool symbols, special characters and nickname tools for games and social networks. The product found its identity and kept iterating through 2022.
