Many sites still give outdated advice: the blank name code U+3164 has been blocked by Free Fire since OB43. OB54 (07/2026) uses U+00A0 instead. This tool follows each game's current rules for accurate results — paste your name to verify.

Type or paste a name to see if it works in Free Fire.

Free Fire naming rules:

  • Names can be up to ~12 characters (blanks included).
  • Don't place blanks at the start or end of the name — the game rejects it.
  • For a blank name, insert U+00A0 in the MIDDLE; never leave it fully empty.

Why is your game name showing an error?

Many people paste a nice-looking name copied from the internet into a game, only to get "invalid name" without knowing why. The most common cause is the blank name character: older codes like U+3164 used to work everywhere but are now blocked by many games, while outdated font generator sites still hand out these obsolete codes. A name can also exceed the allowed length, have spaces at the start/end, or use colored emojis the game can't render.

Each game has different rules

Something most people don't know: the same blank name character can be blocked in Free Fire but still allowed in Arena of Valor or PUBG. That's why a name that works fine in one game fails in another. The checker above applies the exact rules of each game so you don't have to test it repeatedly inside the game.

Check first, save your rename card

For games that require a Rename Card, like Arena of Valor and PUBG, an invalid name can cost you a try or force you to wait. Check your name here first before pasting it into the game. To create names that fit each game's style, see the stylish name generator and the invisible character page.

Game Name Checker FAQ

Three most common reasons: (1) the name is too long (Free Fire only accepts about 12 characters including spaces); (2) it uses a blank name character that's now blocked — U+3164 (Hangul Filler) has been blocked by Free Fire since OB43, and U+00A0 must be used instead; (3) there's a space at the start or end of the name. Paste your name into the checker above to see exactly which issue applies.

As of OB54 (07/2026), Free Fire accepts U+00A0 (No-Break Space), and it must be placed BETWEEN characters, not at the start or end. The once-common U+3164 code has been blocked since OB43. Note: Arena of Valor and PUBG still support U+3164 — each game follows its own rules.

Length against each game's limit, whether the blank name character is valid for the current game version, whether spaces are placed at the start/end, and whether colored emojis or symbols are likely to be rejected by the game. Every error comes with a suggested fix.

No. The tool only analyzes the text string directly in your browser — nothing is sent to a server, no login is required, and the game itself is never touched. Blank name characters are valid Unicode characters for display, so they're safe for your account.
